Parking

Click here for general directions to the University, maps and parking information. Following are some addition details specific to the Festival weekend.

 

October 5 and 6 before 5:00 p.m.

For events at and near Lewis Arts complex and Berlind Theatre at McCarter Theater Center:

Festival guests are invited to park for free in University Lot 20. To reach this lot from Alexander St., turn onto Faculty Road to the circle, go three-quarters around circle onto Elm Dr. and continue to next circle. Go three-quarters around this circle onto South Dr. At stop sign make left turn to Visitor Parking, Lot 20is the last large lot. From Washington Road, turn onto Faculty Road (toward Alexander St.) to first circle and follow directions above.

Metered parking is also available in the NJ Transit Princeton Station parking lot off Alexander St., on Alexander St., and on University Place.

 

All evenings after 5:00 p.m. and all day October 7 and 8

Festival guests are invited to park for free in the West Garage. To reach the garage from Alexander St., turn onto Faculty Road to the circle, go three-quarters around circle onto Elm Dr. and continue to next circle. Go three-quarters around this circle bearing left. At stop sign make right turn into the West Garage. From Washington Road, turn onto Faculty Road (toward Alexander St.) to first circle and follow directions above.

Metered parking is also available in the NJ Transit Princeton Station parking lot off Alexander St., on Alexander St. and on University Place.

 

Other Festival Venues

It is a short walk from the Lewis Arts complex to all other Festival venues, however if you wish to park closer to other venues:

185 Nassau St./University Chapel/Art Museum/Richardson Auditorium/Art Walk starting point – University Lot 10 is directly behind 185 Nassau St. off Williams St. (which is off Washington Rd.) This lot will have limited public spaces available Thursday and Friday before 4:30 p.m. After this time and on Saturday and Sunday the lot is open free to the public. Additional parking is across Williams St. in Lot 13.

Taplin Auditorium – Parking is available in lots off Ivy Lane (which is off Washington Rd.)

Graduate College – Parking is available in University Lot 19 off Springdale Rd.

Metered parking is also available on Nassau St., Williams St. and other streets in town within reasonable walking distance to most Festival venues

The University’s Tiger Transit Shuttles run on various routes that stop at or near all Festival venues.

Continuous shuttle bus service will be available Saturday 11 am – 8 pm and Sunday 12 noon – 6 pm from Lot 16/23, the West Garage, along Elm Drive, 201 Nassau Street and Frist Campus Center.

Public Parking Garages (paid parking) are also available in town on Chambers Street and Hulfish Street.
