Carillon Concert

Carillon bells at the Graduate College’s majestic gothic architecture in Cleveland Tower will be featured in a very special outdoor, site-specific performance featuring the world premiere of new works written for this remarkable architectural instrument by Princeton composers Bora Yoon, Matt McBane, and Ninfea Cruttwell-Reade as well as favorites for the remarkable instrument.

Boasting one of the largest carillons in the world with 67 bells and a bourdon (G) weighing 12,880 pounds–  The Class of 1892 Bells will be performed by university carillonneur Lisa J. Lonie, University Carillonneur (the fourth carillonneur in the instrument’s +80 year history and the first female to hold the position), and feature a cameo by the Princeton Laptop Orchestra (PLOrk), directed by Jeff Snyder.
