Katie Welsh

Katie Welsh ’15 is a singer specializing in musical theater and the Great American Songbook. Recent performances include solo concert engagements at Feinstein’s/54 Below, the Princeton Club of New York, Don’t Tell Mama, The Duplex, and the Metropolitan Room. Katie graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Princeton, where she concentrated in English and received a certificate in Theater. For her senior thesis, she created Women in the World of Sondheim, which, in conjunction with her written work, garnered Katie the Alan S. Downer Senior Thesis Prize. In 2016, she gave an extensive interview to Everything Sondheim. In addition to her work as a performer, she is also a researcher and writer on topics of musical theater.
